Connect the output of the 555 timer to a suitable buzzer or small speaker. If additional driving current is needed, use an appropriate transistor stage between the timer and the speaker.
Step 6: Test the Circuit
Check all connections carefully before applying power. Press the doorbell button and listen for the generated tone. If the sound is not suitable, experiment with the resistor and capacitor values to adjust the oscillator frequency.
Understanding the Timing Circuit
The 555 timer uses the charging and discharging of a capacitor through resistors to determine the timing of its output signal. Increasing the resistance or capacitance generally changes the oscillation frequency.

Experiment With Different Sounds
