Paper Snowflake Decorations
Paper snowflakes are a simple and inexpensive DIY Christmas decoration. With ordinary white paper, scissors, and a little creativity, you can make beautiful snowflake designs for walls, windows, doors, Christmas trees, and gift decorations.
This project is suitable for children and adults. Each snowflake can have a different pattern, making the decoration look handmade and unique.
Materials Needed
1. Prepare the Paper
Use a sheet of white paper, colored paper, or recycled paper. Square paper works especially well because it makes folding and cutting easier.
2. Fold the Paper
Fold the paper several times to create a compact triangular or wedge-shaped piece. Press the folds firmly so the snowflake will have a neat and symmetrical design.
3. Cut the Pattern
Carefully cut small shapes along the folded edges. Try triangles, circles, diamonds, or curved cuts. Do not cut away the entire folded edge.
4. Open the Snowflake
Slowly unfold the paper to reveal the snowflake pattern. Flatten it gently with your hands or place it under a book for a short time.
5. Decorate Your Space
Attach the finished paper snowflakes to windows, walls, doors, cards, or Christmas displays. You can also hang several snowflakes together to create a festive decoration.
