Open the Snowflake

Slowly unfold the cut paper, opening each folded section one at a time. Handle the paper gently because the small cut shapes can be delicate and may tear if pulled too quickly. As the folds open, the repeated cuts will begin to form a beautiful snowflake pattern.

After completely unfolding the paper, place it on a clean, flat surface. Gently press the snowflake with your fingertips to smooth out the creases. Work from the center toward the edges so the delicate points and cutout shapes remain neat.

If the paper is still curled or uneven, place a clean, lightweight book over the snowflake for a short time. Remove the book carefully and check the finished decoration. The flattened snowflake is now ready to display on a wall, window, door, or Christmas tree.
