Understanding manta ray migrations is extremely important for conservation. If scientists know where manta rays feed, travel, and gather, governments and conservation organizations can work to protect these important habitats. Protecting migration routes and feeding grounds can help ensure that these magnificent gentle giants continue to travel freely through the world’s oceans for generations to come.
