MANDALAY, MYANMAR — September 2, 2026: Four Bengal tiger cubs have been born at Yadanabon Zoological Gardens, commonly known as Mandalay Zoo, in a welcome development for the zoo’s tiger-breeding efforts. The birth was reported by Eleven Myanmar on September 2.

The cubs were born to a male tiger named Jackson and a female named Waing Chit, according to the zoo’s management. The successful birth brings new additions to the tiger population at the zoological gardens, which is located at the foot of Mandalay Hill.
