An indoor herb garden is a simple DIY project that allows you to grow fresh herbs such as mint, coriander, basil, parsley, and green onion inside your home. You can place it near a sunny window, kitchen counter, balcony, or any well-lit area.
Steps
1. Choose the location
Select a bright indoor location. A windowsill receiving several hours of sunlight each day is ideal. Herbs generally need good light for healthy growth.

2. Prepare the containers
Use small pots, cups, cans, or recycled plastic containers. Make drainage holes at the bottom so excess water can escape.

3. Prepare the soil
Fill each container with a light, well-draining potting mixture. Avoid filling the container completely; leave about 2–3 cm of space at the top.

4. Plant the seeds
Make shallow holes according to the instructions on the seed packet. Put the seeds into the holes and gently cover them with soil. If using seedlings, transplant them carefully without damaging the roots.
