Prepare Your Workspace

Choose a clean, flat, stable, and well-lit working area before starting your DIY project. A spacious table or desk is ideal because it gives you enough room to arrange the kit components, tools, and finished pieces without accidentally knocking anything over. Good lighting will help you see small details clearly and make it easier to work accurately.

If your kit includes paints, markers, resin, glue, adhesive, dyes, or other materials that may stain or damage surfaces, protect your workspace first. Place newspapers, kraft paper, cardboard, a plastic sheet, or another suitable protective covering over the table. Make sure the covering is flat and does not interfere with your work. Keep your materials organized and place liquids or containers where they are less likely to be tipped over. A properly prepared workspace makes the project cleaner, safer, and more enjoyable.
