Melt the Wax

Place the supplied wax into a clean, dry, heat-safe melting container. Set this container inside a larger pot containing a small amount of water to create a double boiler, keeping the water away from the wax. Heat the water gently and allow the wax to melt gradually, stirring occasionally with a suitable tool to promote even melting. Use a thermometer if recommended and carefully follow the specific melting-temperature instructions supplied with your wax, as different types of wax may require different temperatures. Avoid overheating the wax and never leave the melting process unattended.
